Requirements
-
Can I use OptiShot2 outside and what about lighting?
-
No. OptiShot2 is designed to be used inside and must have the proper lighting conditions for its infrared sensors to function accurately.
-
-
How much room do I need to use OptiShot2?
-
You need to be able to safely swing a golf club. All that depends on your height, the steepness of your swing and the length of the golf club. In order to setup a practice area where you can take full swings into a net with your longest clubs and have the best experience, we recommend a 10′ x 10′ area with 8.5′ ceilings.

-
Do I need to use my TV?
-
The computer screen is all that is needed. However, you can hook up your computer to your television or projector to provide a larger screen of golf action. Most computers have an S-Video output that you can plug right into your TV. Many televisions have a VGA or HDMI input that you can plug in from the computer.
-
-
Can I use it with a Mac?
-
Yes, OptiShot2 will run on a Mac computer running Windows 7 that has been setup using Boot Camp.
-
Equipment Details
-
Can I use my own clubs?
-
You can truly use every club in your bag with OptiShot2 (from Driver to Putter).
-
-
Can I use official golf balls, or just the foam practice balls?
-
You can use real golf balls, foam practice balls, or no ball at all when using the simulator. The different types of golf balls have a small impact on the calculation of the club head speed but we account for that via a ball type selection made through the OptiShot2 software.
